Missing Dog in Morristown: Calypso

  • December 8, 2012

From Furever Home Dog Rescue:

Calypso, a Pit Bull Mix, was last seen running towards Prospect Street between Early Street and Cattano Avenue in Morristownon Thursday, December 6, at 4:15 PM. Calypso is a rescue dog and is extremely shy and skittish. She does not bark or growl and is very passive. She has only been in Morristwon for three weeks having come from a shelter in Maine. She spent most of her time since the trip living on her adopted mom's bed which she considers her haven. She is afraid of everything and everybody. She is fully up to date on her shots and has a microchip in her.

Why would anyone try to help this? The last guy that called in about a dog in trouble went to jail for abusing the dog, didn't he? This isn't the town it used to be.

I haven't seen Calypso, but I have seen another dog running around (turning from Elm down Franklin St one day, then crossing Franklin to the Town Hall parking lot on another). This other dog is a medium brown, kind of looks like a Rhodesian Ridgeback.
