Caroline Kennedy Coming to Mendham
The daughter of former president John F. Kennedy will be at Mendham Books to sign copies of her newly released book.

Mendham Books, who continues to bring in famous names and sought after authors, are hosting Caroline Kennedy on Thursday at 7 p.m. to sign copies of her new book, Listening In; The Secret White House Recordings of John F. Kennedy.
The book is actually a multimedia item as John F. Kennedy Library and historian Ted Widmer selected the most compelling recordings for release and they are fully restored and re-mastered onto two 75-minute CDs.
Listening In represents a uniquely unscripted, insider account of a president and his cabinet grappling with the day-to-day business of the White House and guiding the nation through a hazardous era of uncertainty.
Beyond the actual recordings, the set includes extensively annotated transcripts of the audio, and a foreword by Caroline Kennedy. "Listening In" offers behins the scenes insight to famous historical moments like the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Space Race, Vietnam, and the arms race.
Only those who have purchased a book from Mendham Books will be permitted inside the store on Thursday.

One can support the rights of others even if it’s contrary to their own personal beliefs. A Jew can abstain from eating pork products without supporting that their sale be banned.
Why don’t you ask Catholics who use birth control how they can do that when their religion forbids its use? How about Christians who have been divorced? How many people of faith actually follow every single doctrine of their religion?

Hookerman, Your analogy is not very apt. The fact that some do not eat pork is not a moral issue. Abortion IS a moral issue and just about the only act that results in automatic excommunication from the Catholic church. It is not against the Catholic religion to get divorced. It is against the religion for you to remarry if your ex spouse is still alive unless you have received an annulment.

Eating pork is a not moral issue if you are not Jewish.... just as abortion is not a moral issue if you're not Catholic. Catholicism does not allow divorce, so how can you say it is not against the religion??? Of course you chose to ignore my birth control comment, just as most American Catholics choose to ignore that church doctrine.

Thank you for your accurate response John. It is unfortunate that so many people speak as if they know what exactly being a Catholic encompasses without having an understanding of true church doctrine. This is all plainly spelled out in the book Catechism of the Catholic Church.
