5 Things You Should Know About Kabbalah
National Council of Jewish Women West Morris Section presents a series on Jewish mysticism.
Rabbi David Nesson, spiritual leader of Morristown Jewish Center–Beit Yisrael, will teach a three-part series called "The Essence of Kabbalah," about Jewish mysticism.
1) When and where: Thursdays, March 1, 8, and 15, at noon, at the law offices of Meyer Rosenthal, 121 Washington St. in Morristown.
2) It’s free: The program, which is sponsored by National Council of Jewish Women, West Morris Section, is free and open to all NCJW members and prospective members.
3) Bring your lunch: Attendees should bring a bag lunch (no meat, please). Coffee and cake will be served.
4) The topics will be:
March 1: "What is Kabbalah? The History and Development of the Mystical Way—Merkavah, Sefer Yetzira, Zohar"
March 8: "The Basic Ideas—Sefirot, Tzimtzum,Tikkun"
March 15: "The Mystical Way--Devaykut, Kavanah and Mystical Practice Today"
