Craft Fair Coming to Morris Plains Farmers Market Saturday

Voter registration, cancer fundraiser join the regular lineup of tasty treats in the borough's downtown.

All summer the farmer's market on Speedwell Avenue extension in Morris Plains has provided an assortment of tasty treats and goods for those fortunate enough to stop by.

But on Saturday, the Morris Plains Farmers Market will kick it up a notch as they host the Adult Arts and Craft Fair. Not to be outdone, the St. Virgil's Knights of Columbus will offer Voter Registration and the Mom's Club will have a table raising money for Alex's Lemonade Stand - for children's cancer research. Customers will also have the opportunity to check out Flying Alpaca Farms warm gloves, mittens, hats and scarves - it won't be long before we need them.
Of course, all the fruits, baked goods, pickles, kielbasa, pierogi's, cheese, eggs, croissants, fresh mozzarella, scones and Griggstown Chicken Pot Pie.

Less than a month is left to grab the corn and tomatoes before the season is over (check out the photos of said corn and tomatoes attached to this post) It's time to check out Flying Alpaca Farms warm gloves, mittens, hats and scarves - it won't be long before we need them.

The Morris Plains Farmers Market is open Saturday mornings, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Speedwell Avenue Extension, Merchant's Block (across from the Plaza Restaurant & Taylor's Consignment Shop).  Last day of the market is October 12th.

Rain date for Arts and Craft Show is Sept. 21.
