Mother's Day Plant Sale to Benefit Morris Plains FD Auxiliary

The Ladies Auxiliary to the Morris Plains Fire Association provides support to the firefighters that keep the borough safe. 

They keep busy with a number of charitable actions around the community.

"We recently had a dinner to thank our (firefighters) for all they do," said Cornelia Geary, of the Ladies Auxiliary. "We also made a monetary donation to the St Virgil's carnival, sent a donation to a firehouse heavily impacted by Superstorm Sandy and we annually support the Spanish award given during graduation at Borough School."  

Now it's your turn to give back and get a gift for Mom at the same time this Saturday. The Ladies Auxiliary is hosting a Mother’s Day plant sale from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the firehouse.  They will be offering a selection of potted plants for $5 each and hanging baskets for $18 each.  

"We have sold plants annually for years," said Geary. "The last two years it was pre sale only, this year the plant sale returns as a drop by sale on the ramp of the firehouse. We would love for the community to come support the Ladies Auxiliary as we help support the firemen."
