Morris Museum Trip to Philadelphia Museum of Art for a Holiday Tour of the Historic Fairmount Park Houses

Step back in time…Experience the splendor of Christmas.  This holiday season, visit the historic houses in Fairmount Park for a unique yuletide event, and be inspired by these architectural masterpieces. We will enjoy docent tours of Woodford, Cedar Grove and Mount Pleasant. Our luncheon will be at the Water Works Restaurant where we will feast on mouthwatering cuisine while enjoying first-class service and breathtaking views of the Schuylkill River. The Fairmount Water Works, now a National Historic Landmark, was one of Philadelphia's and America's first municipal water delivery systems. Meeting the challenge set before him, engineer Frederick Graff, originally employed steam engines to lift water to the reservoir high atop Fair Mount – where the Philadelphia Museum of Art now stands. A self-guided mini-tour of the water works is available on the lower level of the restaurant.  Jacket requested.
