Free Concert at St. Elizabeth's

NJ Intergenerational Orchestra presents concert at St. Elizabeths's

The New Jersey Intergenerational Orchestra will present a free concert, “From Darkness to Light” on Sunday, Feb. 12 at 3 p.m. in Dolan Hall in the Annunciation Center of , 2 Convent Road, Convent Station.

The title reflects the theme of the concert as programmed by Music Director and Conductor, Farkhad Khudyev. It features Schubert’s Unfinished Symphony and Beethoven’s Sixth Symphony.

The Intermezzo String Orchestra under the baton of Gavin Davies will perform a collection of Romantic masters with themes by Tchaikovsky, Schubert and Schumann as well as an arrangement of a Mozart divertimento and Sibelius’s andante festivo.

Also featured at this concert is the winner of NJIO’s Young Artists Concerto Competition, Jessica Hong, 13, of Holmdel who will perform a movement from the Haydn Cello Concerto in C Major. 

This concert is free and open to the public. Donations will be gratefully accepted.  The College of Saint Elizabeth is handicap accessible and large print programs are available.
