Funding from Bank of America will be used by the Morris Museum to support the Museum Loan Program which brings the museum to the community, allowing for innovative ways of learning that complement the classroom experience.  Museum Loan is an educational program that lends more than 1,400 portable exhibits to public, private and parochial schools, home-schoolers, libraries and service organizations. Boxes contain handling objects, visual aids and inter pretive materials that relate to a myriad of subjects in the arts, sciences and humanities.  Museum Loan programs enhance school curricula and provide a unique learning experience for students.  Last year, this popular program served more than 75,000 students, teachers and adults in classrooms and community venues throughout northern and central New Jersey.

“Since its inception, the Museum Loan Program has had a significant impact on countless New Jersey students,” said Robert H. Doherty, Bank of America New Jersey president.  “Continued support of this initiative reflects our belief that the arts, in all its forms, should be shared with the widest possible audience.”
