Morris Museum Part of Free Program

Museum participates in Bank of America free weekend event

Morris Museum admission is free on Saturday, Jan. 7 and Sunday, Jan. 8 for Bank of America  and Merrill Lynch customers.

The program, called “Museums on Us,” includes more than 150 museums across the country.  It continues the first full weekend of each month, including Feb. 4 and 5 and March 3 and 4.

Besides the Morris Museum, other participating museums are: Aljira, a Center for Contemporary Art. Liberty Science Center, Montclair Art Museum, Newark Museum, Garden State Discovery Museum, The Noyes Museum of Art of Richard Stockton College and WheatonArts and Cultural Center. Some museums are closed on Sundays and at others the program is not available on Sundays.

Bank of America has traditionally had relationships with museums, historical sites, botanical gardens, science centers and zoos in the US and created Museums on Us to provide a free cultural benefit to their customers through its partnership with these institutions, according to a press release.

The program is national and includes more than 150 leading cultural institutions, in 91 cities. Photo ID and a valid Bank of America/Merrill Lynch credit or debit card must be presented. One free general admission limited to cardholder at participating institution, excluding fundraising events, special exhibitions and ticketed shows, the press release said. The offer cannot be combined with other offers.

Institutions outside of New Jersey including: the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Mass., Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, Museum of Contemporary Art in Miami, Fla. And the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles. For more information, visit http://museums.bankofamerica.com.
