The annual Law Day Celebration was held at the Morris County Courthouse on Friday, April 29. It was also the final official act for the Hon. B. Theodore Bozonleis, assignment judge, Morris County Superior Court, who officially retired after the day's ceremonies.

Law Day is celebrated on (or near) May 1 of every year since President Dwight D. Eisenhower started the tradition back in the 1950s. Morris County has been celebrating the day for about the last 15 years with Judge Bozonelis presiding over the ceremony for the past eight years, as long as he has been the assignment judge for Morris County.

Judge Bozonelis symbolically handed his gavel to friend and fellow judge, Hon. Thomas L. Weisenbeck, who assumes the position of Assignment Judge on Monday.
