Morristown School Ready For Class After Break-In

'Youthful mischief' will not stop the Assumption School from opening on Wednesday.

A break-in an act of vandalism by minors at the Assumption School in Morristown will not impact the opening of school on Wednesday, according to the principal of the school, Sr. Merris Larkin.

According to Larkin, a little less than two weeks ago the Catholic school on MacCulloch Avenue in Morristown was broken into but that there was no need to worry.

"We are fine. We are better than ever," Larkin said.

While declining to go into specifics due to the investigation being in progress, Larkin said that despite the "youthful mischief" the school was in excellent shape to begin classes next week.

"We are ready for all 500 or so students to arrive," Larkin said. "And we maintain that we are the best school in Morristown, if not the entire state."
The Morristown Police Department declined to comment, due to the ongoing status of the investigation.
