5 Cars Made Famous in the Movies

As seen in 'Transformers,' 'Gone in Sixty Seconds,' and more, these cars and their newer versions are being sold locally.

It may not be the Batmobile rolling down the street, but every now and then you may find yourself gazing at some wheels and thinking, "Hmm, now where have I seen that car?"

If it's one of the rides featured in this week's 5 Cars, you've seen it on the big screen.

From Edmunds' list of "The 100 Greatest Movie and TV Cars of All Time," we bring you five cars being sold in Morris County that were featured in motion pictures. Car features and selling prices are from Cars.com.

1. 2010 Mini Cooper—Used—$11,991

While an older model, the Mini Cooper made a splash in the 1968 original version of "The Italian Job" with Michael Caine and again in the 2003 re-make. 

From Cars.com, the car features manual transmission, two doors and a hatchback. It also features EBA emergency brake assist, a rear window wiper and a multi-function steering wheel.

2. 2013 Dodge Charger—New—$39,753

The Dodge Charger played a special part in the 1969 flick "Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry." The car was also popular in movies like "The Dukes of Hazard" and "Bullitt." 

From Cars.com, this five-speed automatic sedan features four-wheel drive, an in-dash single CD player and Uconnect with Bluetooth wireless connectivity. It also features remote engine start, a radio data system, and front fog/driving lights.

3. 1975 Lincoln Continental—Used—$11,999

An older version of the Continental was featured in the classic 1972 hit "The Godfather." When Sonny Corleone goes down in a flurry of gun shots, it is near his prized Lincoln.

From Cars.com, this automatic V8 sedan comes with 22,045 miles on it. It features two doors, a tan interior and a white exterior.

4. 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500—Used—$65,999

This speedy car made an appearance in "Gone in Sixty Seconds" in 2000. 

From Cars.com, the six-speed, manual coupe comes with 2,823 miles on it. It features fog lamps, a rear spoiler, ambient light package and anti-theft alarm system.

5. 2013 Chevrolet Camaro—New—$46,880

The 1976 version of this car was featured in the 2007 mega-hit "Transformers." The car actually transformed into the character "Bumblebee" in the movie. 

But the new, 2013 car for sale features a convertible top, rear-wheel drive and braking assist, according to Cars.com. It also features Bluetooth wireless connectivity, privacy glass, surround sound and an anti-theft alarm system.
