Ronnie's Building to Be Torn Down; Bank Enlarged

Deli/caterer with long history in Morris Plains has changed its business plan and relocated.

It's a shock for long-time Morris Plains residents, but a local family business on Speedwell Ave. for more than 45 years, has closed. The familiar building is to be torn down and the next door will be expanding into the property.

The business has morphed into a catering outfit called Ronnie's All American Barbecue, moved to a new location in Randolph and limited its services to off-site catering. Since there is no longer a walk-in location, the only way you'll get those pulled pork sandwiches, deli platters and other favorites is to hire Ronnie's to cater your party.

The news of the move and the bank's expansion were confirmed by Morris Plains Mayor Frank Druetzler, but, as yet, we have been unable to reach the owners for comment.
