Township Woman Wins Professional Award

Shelly Nice recognized by North American Council for Staff, Program and Organizational Development.

Shelly Nice of Morris Township has received a 2011 John Fry Individual Merit Award from the North American Council for Staff, Program and Organizational Development (NCSPOD).

"Receiving the John Fry Individual Merit Award is truly an honor for me, as well as for Berkeley College," Nice said. 

Nice is the Director of the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) for Berkeley College. According to a press release from the college, Nice focuses on faculty development, staff’s use of technology, coordination of academic service learning, research and scholarship opportunities.

"She has spoken at numerous conferences about the topics of instructional and course design, faculty development, engaging students and social media in the classroom," the release said.

Nice holds an MBA in Marketing from Centenary College, an MA in Corporate and Organizational Communication from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a BA in Anthropology/Writing from Drew University.
