Air Force Vet to Talk On WWII

Morris Twp.'s Davis shares his own tales of the South Pacific

Douglas Davis of Morris Township will about the South Pacific to the Air Force Association at Charlie Brown’s, 522 Southern Blvd., Chatham Township, on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 12:30 p.m.

Davis was a crew and line chief with the 5th Air Force, 378th Troop Carrier, 55th Support Group providing fuel and bombs for B-25’s in the Southwest Pacific during World War II.

The purpose of the Air Force Association is to educate the public on the critical role of aerospace power in our nation’s defense. It supports the United States Air Force and its auxiliary, the Civil Air Patrol.

The Shooting Star Chapter, 195, of the Air Force Association meets monthly usually on the last Saturday of each month except during the months of July, August, and December at Charlie Brown’s.
