Because this exhibit, inspired by a collection of rare books at the arboretum, will focus on the roll of medical botany during the Civil War.

Why Go: 
Because you can bring your family out for a great weekend of rides, food, games and great times with neighbors.

Hat and Purses Exhibit
Where/When: From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at the Morris Museum in Morris Township.
Why Go: You’re interested in seeing more than 130 artifacts from the museum's costume collection, ranging from the 18th to 20th centuries.
Pricing: $10 for adult museum admission, or $7 for senior and child museum admission.

 From 8 to 10:30 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, at  in Madison.
Why Go: 
Because a night at the theater sounds like a great way to spend your weekend. Plus, this play hasn’t been seen on The Shakespeare Theatre stage since 2003.

Morris Plains Farmers Market
Where/When: From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at The Merchant Block of Morris Plains.
Why Go: You can pick up some homemade mozzarella and ravioli, freshly baked bread and some of New Jersey's best cheesecakes.
Pricing: Bring your wallet.

Pressed Flower Workshop
Where/When: Frelinghuysen Arboretum, 1-4 p.m.
Why go: You'll go home with your own pressed flower design, ready for framing and showing off.
Pricing: $45 for members, $55 non-members


Where/When:
 Starting at  at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 12 and trekking 20 miles through Harding and Chatham, then back to Morristown.
Why Go:
 Because you’d like a workout to start your Saturday morning, or because the weather is warming up. Rain or snow cancels.

 From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday at 10 Arrowhead Road in Morris Township.
Why Go:
 Because their will be lots of furniture, toys, household items, bikes and sports equipment for the choosing.

 From 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at Leonard J. Buck Garden in Far Hills.
Why Go: 
To save money on soil amendments and fertilizer while joining the green movement. Get ready to get dirty and learn to enrich your garden soil and protect the environment.
Pricing: 
$12 per person. Registration required.


When/Where:
 From 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday at in Warren Township.
Why Go: 
To cycle for proceeds to benefit cutting-edge research and programs at The Cancer Institute of New Jersey. Be a "Virtual Rider" and help raise funds without participating in the picturesque 40 or 80 mile route. Either way, you help pedal towards a cure.
Pricing: 
Donations gratefully accepted. Registration required.

Take some time out on Sunday to view “Spectral Selves,” an art show featuring paintings, prints, and drawings worked in oil, acrylic, and Conté.

To check out a wide variety of antique, classic, race cars, and motorcycles. Don't miss the Cub Scout Pinewood Derby

Events begin at 12:30 p.m. and continue throughout the doubleheader on Sunday at in Bridgewater.
Why Go: 
To bid on high quality sports memorabilia and participate in a tribute to those who perished in 9/11. All monies raised from the auction will be donated to Operation Shoebox New Jersey. 
Pricing: 
$10 for special reserved seating.

9/11 Remembrance Ceremony at Community Theatre
When/Where
: Begins at 7 p.m. at , and will move to the reflecting pool in front of Vail Mansion.
Why Go: Because you want to honor those lost, and those who aided others, on Sept. 11, 2011.
