Custom Massage Provides a Mini-Vacation–and It's on Sale

It's been a rough winter: dragging the kids back and forth to school through sleet and freezing rain, entertaining them on snow days, trying to juggle work and family. Perhaps a little me-time is in order.

This week might be a good time to try out a custom massage at a rock-bottom price. is offering a $49 one-hour custom massage to new clients.

What, exactly, is a "custom massage," you ask. Well, when you have a massage therapist who is trained in multiple therapies, he or she can adapt the treatment to your needs. (Imagine–someone catering to YOUR needs. It boggles the mind.)

Anyway, the massage therapist will spend some time talking to you and finding about any aches or pains. According to Adi, an employee at Massage Envy who preferred not to give her last name, "If a person needs a combination of deep tissue and Swedish massage, the therapist can do that. If the person wants us to concentrate on the neck, we can do that. If someone is just looking for relaxation, we just do a full-body massage."

Sounds good, no?

Massage Envy is located in the Kohl's plaza on Route 10 East. The hours are: 

• Sunday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Saturday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
