Dogs and Cats Must be Licensed in Morris Plains
The borough uses Denville for its animal shelter and both borough and Denville police can help.
1) Denville Township provides shelter of misplaced domestic animals.
If you have lost or found a pet, they will provide a safe place for that animal until the owner is found. If no one comes forward for the animal after seven days, the Township of Denville places the animal for adoption (by appointment) They do not charge an adoption fee, however they do ask for a donation of food and supplies back to the shelter so the animals that are there for longer periods of time can be provided for.

4) If you own a dog or cat over the age of seven months
