Garden Sprouts Gather, Republicans Meet, Schools Close

Another Monday is here and it's time to jump back into your weekday routine ... unless your kids are on spring break, in which case, your routine is already out the window. Either way, here are some things you need to know about Monday, April 4, 2011.

  1. You Need To Know About Spring Break: If you see a lot of kids around town, don't worry–they're not skipping class. Both the Morris School District and the are on spring break from April 4-8.
  2. You Need To Know About the Planning Board Meeting: The Morris Township planning board will meet Monday evening, April 4, at 7:30 p.m. at the Municipal Building at 50 Woodland Avenue. On the agenda: the question of whether can build a 16,000 square-foot athletic center with parking.
  3. You Need To Know About Garden Sprouts: The first of a series of gardening programs for children will be held on Monday, April 4 at starting at 11 a.m. The topic for the first program will be "How Does a Plant Begin?" Cost: $7.
  4. You Need To Know About Stained Glass Mosaics: Children can drop-in any time during the 's hours on April 4 to make a stained glass mosaic.
  5. You Need to Know About the Republican Club Meeting: The regular meeting of the Morris Plains Republican Club will be held Monday, April 4 at 7:30 p.m. at the Community Center.
