Go To a Book Club Meeting, Grow Your Own Bouquets, Join the Community Pool

Things you need to know on March 22.

If you need some intellectual stimulation, you can go to a book club meeting. If you need physical activity, you can sign up for the community pool. If you need to soothe your soul, you can learn about growing beautiful blooms in your garden.

  1. Board of Education: On Tuesday, March 22, will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Borough School Learning Center, 500 Speedwell Avenue in Morris Plain.
  2. Book Club: On Wednesday, March 23, from 2 to 4 p.m., book club leader Charlotte Lamm, will hold a discussion on Colum McCann's Let The Great World Spin. The meeting will take place at the

Grow a Bouquet: Wednesday, March 23 is the registration deadline for the "Grow Your Own Bouquet" seminar scheduled for Apr 6 from 10–11:30 a.m. at the  Plantswoman Pat Rolston and floral designer Marge Hulstrunk will teach you about growing a wonderful cutting garden that will provide many floral arrangements for your home. $10 for members, $12.00 for non-members.
  4. Senior Citizen Luncheon: On Wednesday, March 23, the Annual Senior Citizen Luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the , 500 Speedwell Avenue in Morris Plains. Lunch will be served and the school jazz band will perform. Call 973-538-1650 to register.
  5. Community Pool: It's not too early to sign up for the Morris Plains Community Park Pool. The 2011 application forms and rule booklet have been released and are posted on the borough web site.
