Honeywell Meeting, Garden Sprouts, Pool Discounts, Beacon Hill Jazz

A new week is upon us. Here are five things you need to know for Monday, May 2:

  1. You Need To Know About The Planning Board: The Morris Township Planning Board has a meeting scheduled for Monday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the On the agenda once again: the proposed redevelopment of Honeywell's campus. Public comment was brought to a end at the March 14 meeting and many in the community are waiting to see what action the  board will take. Of course, we'll let you know tomorrow on Patch.
  2. You Need To Know About The "Early Bird" Pool Deadline: May 2 is the last day to get the discounted, "early bird" registration for the Morris Township swimming pools. Swim pool membership is open to everyone, with discounted rates for Morris Township residents. Both Ginty Pool and Streeter Pool are now accessible to all members. Call the recreation department at 973-326-7371.
  3. You Need To Know About Garden Sprouts: It's Monday again and that means Garden Sprouts. This series is designed for preschoolers to explore the gardens around the while learning about plants. There is an activity and story every week. The topic for May 2 is, "What's in the Soil?"
  4. You Need To Know About The Performance at the Bickford: Monday is jazz night at the . On May 2, the Beacon Hill Jazz Band performs. The band has expanded to nine pieces with the addition of a harmonica player and vocalist Rob Paparozzi. Come out and enjoy the music.
  5. You Need To Know About The Photo Exhibit: "A Taste of India," a selection of new photos by Parvathi Kumar, opened over the weekend at the Center for Spiritual Living, 331 Mt Kemble Ave, in Morris Township. It is open for viewing, by appointment, Monday through Friday, 9:30am–2:00pm. 973-539-3114.
