Hurricane Sandy: Morris Twp. Offers Bags of Sand

Each resident can fill up to 10 bags as 'Frankenstorm' approaches.

As Hurricane Sandy approaches, Morris Township officials urge residents to be prepared.

The township will have 1,000 bags and sand available at the Department of Public Works yard. The bags are first-come, first-serve and residents need to fill the bags themselves. Each resident will be allowed 10 sandbags.

The DPW Yard, located on Jane Way, will be open Saturday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Monday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
