The entertainment choices this weekend are first-rate. An impressive group of Broadway stars will gather at the the Bickford Theatre, Grammy-winner Roseanne Cash will perform at the Community Theater, and Itzhak Perlman, the "virtuoso of the violin" will be in town. Enjoy.

Why Go: Because you’re interested in supporting a local author, or picking up a copy of Michael Bronco's "Man School," which focuses on the role that men play in the family.

Why Go: Because Rosanne Cash, Johnny Cash’s daughter, isn’t just riding her father’s coattails; she has written some great hit songs herself.

Why Go: Because Shindell, an American songwriter who has spent time studying in both a seminary and a Zen monastery, will perform. Mad Agnes will also perform in one of the group’s last concerts.

Why Go: Because Tony award nominee Robert Cuccioli of the Broadway productions of "Jekyll & Hyde," and "Les Miserables," and Suzzanne Douglas from the film "How Stella Got her Groove Back" will headline the event, and the proceeds will benefit the Bickford Theatre.

Why Go: Because “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” is a popular children’s series, and the movie is rated PG.

Easter Egg Hunt
Where/When: Begins at 10:30 a.m. at e in Morris Plains, if the weather permits.
Why go: Because kids love to hunt for Easter eggs.
Pricing: Free for Morris Plains residents - just bring your own basket.

Why Go: Because children ages five or older can make a coffee grounds imprint fossil.

Why Go: The Harmonium Choral Society and the Morristown Neighborhood House Children’s Chorus will perform songs from around the world for free.
