Kids Can Learn to CookThis Winter

Morris Plains recreation offers cooking classes

Children have many options for after school activities and Morris Plains recreation is giving them another one by scheduling cooking classes.

Christine Tani will teach the "Kids in the Kitchen" classes at the Morris Plains Community Center.

Classes for grades 3 through 5 will be Wednesdays, Jan. 11 through Feb. 1 from 5:45 to 7 p.m.

The menu was announced by the recreation commission.

Snack: pizza, dippers and sauce; Breakfast: breakfast pizza and fruit salad; Lunch: broccoli cheese and ham pockets, S’mores squares; Dinner: Coney Island hot dogs, dip cup and veggies, brownies.

Classes for grades 6 thought 8 will be Wednesdays, Feb. 8 through 29 from 5:45 to 7 p.m.

The menu was announced.

Snack: taco bake; Breakfast: egg, ham and cheese bread, fruit salad; Lunch: pizza pockets, brownies; Dinner: chicken or turkey pot pie, chocolate chip bars, milkshakes.

Classes are $40.
