Weisenbeck, Scagnelli Receive Service Medals

Local Vets Honored.

Navy veteran John Scagnelli of Morris Plains and Court Assignment Judge Thomas L. Weisenbeck of Morris Township were honored for their service to country Wednesday. This tradition started in 1999 when the freeholders presented medals to veterans who had participated in the D-Day invasion or the liberation of France during WWII. More than 9,000 medals have been awarded to date, honoring military service from WWII to the present.
