Thursday: Circus, Movie, Art Show, Book Club, Pizza Fundraiser

There's plenty to do in the Patch.

Here's what's going on in the Patch:

  1. The is in residence at Mennen Arena from May 12-15. This is its 37th year of raising funds for  the Salaam Shrine Temple's charities. Enjoy the Free-Style Thrill Riders, the ATV 4-Wheelers and the Human Cannonball. Tickets cost $15 for general admission or $20 for reserved seats.
  2. Dine at in Morris Plains between 5–9:00 p.m. on Thursday and 15% of sales will be donated to P.A.C.E., the Parent Advocacy Council for Education. P.A.C.E. is an advocacy and parent support organization in the Morris School District. The group's goal is to "work toward the understanding of, respect for, and support of optimum education for all  children with learning differences." So eat-in, take-out or get your food delivered by Primavera PIzza.
  3. From May 12–June 12, the Morris Museum will host a show called "Fresh Perspectives," featuring fifty exceptional works of art by New Jersey high school artists.
  4. Enjoy "Movie Magic" at the  on Thursday May 12, at 6:45 p.m. The Magician starring Max Von Sydow is the entertainment of the evening. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. Films are free, no registration required.
  5. At 10:00 a.m. Thursday, join the Director's Book Club at the . The book to be discussed is "Saving CeeCee Honeycutt" by Beth Hoffman.
