Corn Hole Fundraiser a Winner for Boy Battling Leukemia

The Mighty Quinn lived up to his name recently, and showed a room full of people how truly brave he is. 

Quinn Knapp, a 5-year-old Bridgewater Township boy battling Type-B Leukemia, was the center of attention – and reason for a terrific community fundraiser in Morris Plains recently.

Knapp came to the Hyatt in Morristown for a corn hole tournament fundraiser, which is run annually by a group of fathers from the town, who call themselves Five Corners Corn Hole Association.

The annual tournament draws about 100 players who make up teams of two, and the event includes food, prizes, a DJ, and plenty of entertainment. Knapp threw out the ceremonial first corn bag to kick off the festivities, and Morris Plains native Grace Flanagan sung the National Anthem.

The Knapp family was then presented with gifts. Quinn Knapp and his older brother Colin and older sister Caroline received gifts and their parents were given a dinner gift certificate as well.
