Tree Time at the Arboretum

Everyone is invited to join the Morris County Connection, the Frelinghuysen Arboretum and the Morris County Park Commission, for a special celebration of trees.
Learn about the holiday, Tu B'Shvat, create a variety of tree projects, give thanks for trees and explore the arboretums trees. Every child can plant their own tree and enjoy their own special (nut-free) granola.

  • At 1pm, singer, songwriter and storyteller Uncle Eye
presents an interactive environmental program of silly
songs, rubber chickens and our favorite Tu B'Shevat hero,
Captain Tree. See him at www.uncleeye.com.
  • From 2 - 4pm, enjoy crafts, activities, tree plantings and samplings of traditional holiday foods.
