Food, Friendship and a Visit From a Devil at DARE Breakfast

Frelinghuysen Middle School students rewarded for good decision making skills.

Retired NJ Devil Ken Daneyko joined parents and students at the bi-annual Frelinghuysen Middle School DARE breakfast on Thursday. At the breakfast, 40 of Frelinghuysen's finest were recognized for their positive citizenship, strong character, and consistently good decision-making skills.

"It's such an honor to be able to work with the children in our community in this way," Officer Heather Glogolich, Frelinghuysen's School Resource Officer said. "At the Middle School level, there is so much development and change that occurs; it is exciting to be able to honor students who are managing the changes of adolescence and are still able to make great choices."

Daneyko spoke to the audience about never giving up on your dreams, making good choices, and standing up for those who cannot stand up for themselves.  Students were then called up by name and given certificates to recognize their positive leadership in the school.
