Morris Plains Vets Given Hope For the Holidays

Two local veteran families in need over the holidays get a boost.

On Thursday VFW Post 3401 Morris Plains kicked the holiday season into high gear by presenting a donation to Cornerstone Family Programs representatives and their veterans and veteran's families Hope for the Holidays Christmas Program.

"Two local veteran families in need over the holidays have already been designated to receive our gift," said Jim Auriemma, Sr. Vice Commander. " Each year our post spreads holiday joy to veteran families in need in our area through Cornerstone and their Veteran and Veterans Families Outreach Program."

Auriemma said the programs "provide wonderful inspiration to us all."
