Turkey Trot 2013 Takes Off
Thousands flock to the annual fundraiser to benefit the Interfaith Food Pantry and the Literacy Volunteers of Morris County.
Last Thanksgiving morning more than 2,500 people showed up to participate in the annual 5K to raise money for the Interfaith Food Pantry and Literacy Volunteers of Morris County and this year it was more of the same.
Braving freezing temperatures, crowds assembled early at the Ginty Field Complex in Morris Plains for the Thanksgiving morning event and took part in not only the 5K race but the one mile fun walk/run, a Kids’ Trot (12 and under), music, refreshments, awards and t-shirts.
