So, we're asking you, our readers, to nominate a "Person of the Year" for 2013. In 2012, Patch's inaugural competition for this honor, voters in Morristown, Morris Township and Morris Plains chose Bike and Walk Morristown co-founder Kendra Arnold.
A Morristown resident for over 10 years, Arnold was known for either leading an organized walk, on her bike, walking dogs or manning a booth seeking new members for Bike and Walk Morristown, an advocacy group promoting more and better options for bicycling and walking in town. She also has been a semi-regular blogger here on Patch. This year, we're not limiting nominations to single persons, either. Do you think it was a group that did something noteworthy this year? How about a sports team, or maybe a local business that made a difference in the community?
Or, maybe you want to honor someone posthumously.
Consider the nomination period open right now. Post your thoughts in the comments section below. We won't have a vote-off unless it's too close to call, so the total number of nominations for a person, group or business on this thread will be our honoree.
We look forward to your nominations and, as always, thanks for your participation.
