Cops: Morris Township Teen Drove Drunk

The following arrest information was supplied by the Morris Township police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Morris Township teen was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated June 4.

Morris Township Capt. Rich Ferrone said Sarah Schnur, 19, was arrested early in the morning hours that day. Ptl. Dave Kosakowski had found Schnur shortly before 3 a.m. in the driver’s seat of a vehicle that was stopped on Turtle Road with its lights out, police said.

After investigating, police said, Kosakowski determined that Schnur had driven the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

Schnur was charged with driving while intoxicated, as well as with driving while intoxicated by a person under the legal age to purchase alcohol. She was released pending a future court date, police said.
