Cops: Morristown Man With Child Unrestrained Ignores Stop Sign, Causes Crash

29-year-old man, female passenger and three children treated and released from hospital following Sunday's crash.

A Morristown man, a female passenger and three children in his car were injured Sunday when he ignored a stop sign, causing an accident at the intersection of Woodland Road and Prospect Street, Madison Police said.

Canice Wall, 29, was driving a 2008 Nissan sedan southbound on Prospect Street when he went through a stop sign at the intersection of Woodland Road at about 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Madison Detective/Lt. Dennis Lam said.

The Nissan was struck by a 2004 Jeep wagon driven by Deborah Losapio, 59, of Randolph, who was traveling eastbound on Woodland Road, Lam said.

Wall, front-seat passenger Courtney Evans, 27, of Morristown, and three children, ages 9, 8 and 4 were taken to Morristown Medical Center for injuries sustained in the crash and later released.

Wall complained of head and neck pain and the 4-year-old child, who was not properly restrained in a child car seat, complained of stomach pain, according to Lam.

Losapio was not injured in the accident.

Wall was issued summonses for disregarding a stop sign and failure to restrain a child in a child restraint device.

The intersection was closed for a period of time as the Madison Detective Bureau, Morris County Sheriff's CIS Unit and the Madison Fire Department investigated and cleaned up the scene.

Oh look, a stop sign... What does that mean? I wonder what this little handle is for that makes that little arrow on my dashboard blink when I push it up or down? What do those white signs with numbers on them that say "Speed Limit" mean? I have to drive faster to get in front of the car in front me! I must get in front of the car in front of me. It will make me a better person. I am highly skilled at texting and driving. It hones my reflexes. There are no humans driving in the other cars around me. They are just obstacles for me to get around and ignore. Idiots...

Oh! and who are those kids flopping around in my back seat? Wonder what would happen if I crashed into another car? Would they stay in their seats?
