Seven People, 18-21 Arrested in Morris Plains On Alcohol Charges

Seven young people between the ages of 18 and 21 face charges after police allegedly found them in possession of alcohol in a Morris Plains hotel room.

On Saturday night, Feb 26., at 11:30 p.m., Morris Plains police say, they spotted a large gathering of people outside the Candlewood Suites Hotel on Candlewood Drive. According to a statement from Detective Sgt. Edward Dobbins, the group retreated to the hotel immediately after spotting police. Upon further investigation, police say they found a room occupied by seven individuals who were charged as follows:

Providing the alcohol:

Dennis Forlenzo, 21, of Morris Plains.

Possession of alcohol:

Matthew Schneyer, 20, of Morris Plains.

Vincent Nodoro 3rd, 20, of Whippany.

Andrew Beresh, 19, of Cedar Knolls.

Cory Matthews, 18, of Whippany.

John Decaro, 19, of Morristown.

John O’Connor, 19, of Cedar Knolls.

All were released pending a first appearance court date.
