Speedwell Traffic 'Moving Normally' After Morning Snafu

Three hours of delays complicate Monday commute.

The emergency utility work that snarled the traffic on Speedwell Avenue has been completed and all lanes are functioning again, Morristown Police said.

The Department sent out an advisory message at 6:45 a.m. Monday morning advising drivers to avoid Speedwell at the intersection of Sussex Avenue and Henry Street due to "significant traffic backups and other issues" caused by the work.

Shortly before 10 a.m. Morristown Police reported that traffic was moving normally and delays in the area had eased.
