Four Hurt, Two Charged in Head-On Crash

Three of those injured in Morris Twp. crash were from Morristown.

A head-on crash in Morris Township sent four people to the hospital on Sunday, police said.

Laura Reilly, 23, of Randolph, was driving alone in a 2009 Honda Accord in the northbound lane of Ridgedale Avenue near Evergreen Place when she crossed into the southbound lane and collided with a 1995 Jeep Cherokee, Morris Township Lt. Edward Conrads said.

Conrads said there were three people in the Jeep: the driver, Ricardo Gutierrez, 41, and passengers Enrique Montoya, 34, and Renan Chavarria, 30, all from Morristown.

"Reilly sustained non-life threatening injuries to her lower extremity and was treated at Morristown Medical Center, where she was later released," Conrads said. "Mr. Gutierrez sustained injuries to his upper and lower extremities. (He was kept at the hospital until Wednesday.) The two passengers in the Jeep sustained head and neck injuries, were treated at Morristown Medical Center and later released."

Conrads said that the crash investigation remains active in the Morris Township Police Department's Traffic Safety Unit.
