Bicyclist ID'd, Still in Critical Condition

Identified as 25-year-old Michael Heaney, of Morristown.

The bicyclist involved in an accident Wednesday that closed parts of Columbia Turnpike and Normandy Heights Parkway for several hours has been identified as Morristown resident Michael Heaney.

Heaney, 25, formerly of Sicklerville, remained in critical condition at Morristown Medical Center Thursday, according to the Morris Township Police Department.

with a 2008 Toyota RAV 4 driven by Judith Lewis, 64, of the Convent Station section of Morris Township at about 9:55 a.m. April 11. Lewis did not report any injuries to herself, according to police. No summonses have been issued to the driver as of Thursday morning, according to police.

The collision remains under investigation and witnesses are asked to call the Morris Township Police Traffic Unit at 973-326-7436.
