Morris Man Sentenced for Spying, Sexually Assaulting Woman

Allen Goldstein gets five years for videoing woman in the shower, touching her sexually while she slept when she was a child.

A Morris Township resident received a five-year prison sentence in Morris County Superior Court in Morristown Friday for spying on a woman in a shower with a video camera and for assaulting her sexually when she was underage, NJ.com reported.

Last July, Allen Goldstein, 64, pleaded guilty to videotaping a now 25-year-old woman as she showered numerous times between 2007 and 2012. He also admitted that when she was 15, in 2003, he touched her inappropriately as she slept, the article said, adding that the story became public last year when the woman found a hole in her shower tile and discovered a hidden camera.

Superior Court Judge Mary Gibbons Whipple ruled that Goldstein must serve four years, three months in prison before he may become eligible for parole. The article noted that the victim's written statement called Goldstein “a wolf in sheep’s clothing” and indicated that the woman now has a deep distrust of people, feels uncomfortable everywhere and has difficulty working a job or living with roommates.
