Morris Township Police Blotter: Multiple DWI Arrests

Six drivers charged over a 10-day period.

The Morris Township Police Department arrested six people  on driving-while-intoxicated and related charges from Nov. 11 to 21, according to reports released by Capt. Dennis Reilly:

On Nov. 11 at 1:18 a.m. Patrol Officer Gallardo responded to a report of an intoxicated female at the Westin Hotel on Whippany Road. Gallardo met with Lynne Kelly-DePaul, 53, of Whippany, and determined that she had driven a 2004 Mercury to the hotel. Lynne Kelly-DePaul was arrested on charge of DWI, transported to police headquarters, processed and later released.

On Nov. 12 at 1:50 a.m., Patrol Officer Clay Boeninghaus stopped a 2003 Nissan on Route 287 for allegedly failing to maintain its lane. After an investigation, Boeninghaus arrested Jason Williams, 37, of Boonton, on a charge DWI. Williams was also charged with failure to maintain a lane, failure to signal, view obstruction, reckless driving and failure to exhibit documents.  He was taken to police headquarters, processed and released to a family member.

On Nov. 13 at 2:05 a.m., Patrol Officer Brian Markt observed a man running away from a  vehicle parked on the shoulder of Route 287 North. After an investigation, Markt arrested the driver of the 1996 Honda, Gerardo Rivera, 34, of Newark, on a charge of DWI. Rivera was taken to police headquarters, processed and later released.

On Nov. 13 at 2:40 a.m., Patrol Officer Justin Crowell stopped a 1999 Toyota on Mendham Road for failing to keep to the right. After an investigation, Crowell arrested Noura Elbassiouny, 29, of Mendham, charging Elbassiouny with DWI, failure to keep right, reckless driving, failure to exhibit documents and a cell phone use violation. Elbassiouny was taken to police headquarters, processed and released to a family member.

On Nov. 20 at 6:02 a.m. Patrol Officer Boeninghaus found Clark Isreal, 45 of Bethlehem, Pa., in a business parking lot on Madison Ave. with a flat tire on his vehicle. After an investigation, Boeninghaus arrested Isreal on charges of DWI, breath test refusal and obstructing the administration of law. Isreal was taken to police headquarters, processed and released to a family member.

On Nov. 21 at 1:37 a.m. Patrol Officer Tongring stopped a 2009 Porsche on Punchbowl Road for motor vehicle violations. After an investigation, Tongring arrested Dara Asaadi, 23, of Harding Township, on a charge of DWI. Tongring  was taken to police headquarters, processed and later released.
