Morristown Cops: Morris Plains Woman Drove Drunk

The following arrest information was supplied by the Morristown Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Morris Plains woman drove drunk through downtown Morristown, according to an incident report for Morristown police.

Police said they spotted Ashley Tobias, 23, driving through a stop sign at the corner of DeHart Street and Maple Avenue at about 1 a.m. on Oct 1. Her Pontiac G6 then made a wide right turn onto Maple Avenue, went through a second stop sign at Market Street, overshot the stop line at Market Street and West Park Place and then turned at a "No Turn on Red" intersection, police said.

Tobias was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to stop at a posted stop sign and reckless driving. She was later released into the custody of a family member.
