Multiple DWI Arrests and Motor Vehicle Charges in Morris Township

The Morris Township police blotter of the last several weeks contained multiple instances of alcohol- and driving-related charges.

On March 12 at about 8:43 p.m., Ptl. Mark Osterhoudt stopped a 2009 BMW on Carlton Street for alleged reckless driving, failure to keep right and an unsafe lane change. Based on his investigation, Ptl. Osterhoudt arrested the driver, Nicole Landi, 28, of Morris Plains, on charges of driving while intoxicated (DWI). She was taken to police headquarters, where she was processed and later released.

On March 12 at about 10:21 p.m., Ptl. David Crowley stopped a 2010 Honda on South Street for alleged motor vehicle violations. Based on his investigation Ptl. Crowley arrested the driver, Melissa Pizor, 24, of Westfield, on charges of DWI. The car's owner, Jessica Senz, 23, of South Plainfield, who was also in the vehicle, was charged with allowing Pizor to operate it while intoxicated. The driver was taken to police headquarters where she was processed and later released. Additional charges against her included improper use of headlights, failure to wear a seat belt and reckless driving.

On March 12, at about 11:24 p.m., Ptl. James Perruso stopped a 2003 Acura on Madison Avenue for allegedly making an improper turn and impeding the flow of traffic. Based on his investigation, Ptl. Perruso arrested the driver, Cole Pardi, 22, of Edison, on charges of DWI. He was taken to police headquarters, where he was processed and later released.

On March 12 at around 11:51 p.m., Ptl. Steven Crump stopped a 2010 Toyota on Sussex Avenue for alleged reckless driving and failure to keep right.  Based on his investigation, Ptl. Crump arrested the driver, Andrew Morris, 30, of Randolph, on charges of DWI. Police also said that Morris had been driving with a suspended license. He was taken to police headquarters, where he was processed and later released.

On March 13 at about 1:27 a.m., Ptl. Christopher Tongring stopped a 1997 Toyota for allegedly driving the wrong way on a one-way street. Based on his investigation, Ptl. Tongring arrested the driver, Gregg Rodriguez, 25, of New Providence, on charges of DWI. He was taken to police headquarters, where he was processed and later released.
