Police: Woman Dies After Car Hits Tree
Authorities said the Tuesday morning accident was still under investigation, but the 45-year-old woman didn't seem to lose control of her car.
A 45-year-old woman died after crashing her car into a tree in Morris Township at the intersection of South Street and Blackberry Lane on Tuesday morning, police said.
Morris Township Police Captain Richard Ferrone said the department has contacted the woman's family and will release her name Wednesday.
Ferrone said the cause of the accident is still under investigation, "but it doesn't appear that the driver lost control. Some event caused the driver to drive through the intersection." Ferrone also said there wasn't any other damage at the scene other than the vehicle.
