Morristown Man Hurt After Car Flips on I-287

Drivers in two separate Tuesday night accidents on I-287 ended up being treated for minor injuries at Morristown Medical Center.

The crash occurred just before 11:30 p.m. near mile post 37 in Morris Township when a silver Nissan ended up on its side in the right shoulder of the expressway, according to State Police spokesman Sgt. Adam Grossman.

David Alverson was trapped in the vehicle after it turned over, but emergency responders were able to extricate him, the article said. Though he was awake after his rescue, Alverson's head was bleeding, necessitating a trip to Morristown Medical Center, where he was treated and released.

Several minutes later, state police learned of another accident on I-287 south at mile marker 38, the article said. The victim in this incident, a woman, complained of neck pain. She also was treated at Morristown Medical Center.
