Township Welcomes Newest Firefighter
Matthew Kaufhold has served as a volunteer with Hillside Hose since 2009.
The Morris Township Fire Department recently welcomed their newest member to the ranks.
Matthew Kaufhold was sworn in at Dec. 18 Morris Township Committee meeting, becoming the latest fulltime firefighter here.
The 2005 Morristown High School graduate had been part of the volunteer squad since 2009, at Hillside Hose. He is a 2009 Rutgers University graduate, receiving a degree in criminal justice.

It's a family thing the Kaufhold, as his father, August, has also been a firefighter in Morris Township for 23 years, "so it's been real special to be able to work with him and follow in his footsteps," Matthew Kaufhold said.
