Van Rear-Ends Dump Truck on Speedwell Avenue

One driver taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A driver was taken to the hospital Thursday after the van he was driving ran into the back of a dump truck on Speedwell Avenue in Morris Plains.

According to Fire Chief Michael Geary, a van owned by Ideal Refrigeration of Morris Plains ran into the back of a dump truck from New Providence's A. Deluca Paving Thursday at about 9 a.m.

The van driver was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, according to Geary.

The dump truck driver was not injured, he said.
