Vandalized Cars at Whippany Hotel Under Investigation

Township police and the county sheriff's department are investigating the reported burglaries.

Morris Township Police were called to the Westin Hotel on Whippany Road on the morning of March 17, on a report of several burglarized cars.

According to a police statement, officers found three BMWs and one Lexus had been vandalized. Entry into two vehicles was gained and one of the vehicles had all four tires and rims taken, police said, adding that the incident is believed to have occurred sometime between 4 a.m. and 8 a.m.

Morris Township detectives and members of the Morris County Sheriff’s Department’s Special Services Division are investigating the matter, the statement said.
