Belt-tightening in the Township: A Few Reminders For Fall

Brush disposal, municipal building closures clarified.

This fall, things will be a little bit different in Morris Township.

Fall Cleanup:

Don't forget that, as of June 2010, the pick-up of grass and brush (branches, twigs, vines) is no longer offered. To dispose of this material, you must keep the grass separated from the brush and bring it yourself to the Department of Public Works (DPW) yard. The yard is located on Jane Way, Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to Noon.  Jane Way is the short street that runs from Hanover Ave. to the Frelinghuysen School property, and you will see a drop-off area adjacent to the main entrance.

Leaf pick-up is in progress and will continue through December 11. The Township Committee reminded residents at its Oct. 20 meeting that leaves cannot be picked up within ten feet of a storm drain.
