5 Things The Morris Twp. Committee OK'd

The following matters were approved at the last governing body meeting.

1) Firemen to Woodland: Two new firemen will join fire companies in Morris Township after committee approval on Wednesday, Feb. 15. Tyler J. Rago and Dominic J. Cupo will serve at Woodland Hook and Ladder.

2) Banner: The township committee will allow the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade of Morris County to hang a banner across Sussex Avenue near Streeter Pool from Friday, Feb. 17 to Sunday, March 11 advertising the parade.

3) Lighting: The committee will allow Jersey United Soccer Organization to install temporary lighting at the Morristown Beard School softball field on Whippany road. It will be used from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday from March 1 through 31.

4) Parking: The committee will allow the College of Saint Elizabeth to use the municipal parking lot at St. Thomas More Church on Friday, May 11 from 4 to 10 p.m. for a mass and on Saturday, May 12 from 7 a.m. to noon for  commencement.

5) Accepted with regret: The township committee accepted with regret and appreciation for services rendered the retirement of Donna M. Catalusci, secretary to the township clerk.
