Monday, April 2 is the deadline for candidates to enter the upcoming primary election.
If you plan on running in the June primary election, you have just a few more days to enter! Candidates have until Monday to file a petition for the election.
The deadline to submit a petition is on April 2 at 4 p.m. If you wish to run, you can pick up the petition at the clerk's office. Then you'll need to collect signatures before submitting your petition on Monday.
In Morris Township, Democrats need one signature, Republicans need five, and they need to be notarized. According to the clerk's office, the township has already received a couple applications from both parties.
